Most blockages we attend were months in the making. Fats and oils poured down the kitchen sink cool and harden inside the pipe, narrowing it a little more each week until it closes completely. Wipes labelled flushable do not break down the way toilet paper does and are now one of the most common causes of blocked sewer lines in Sydney. Outside, tree roots find their way into older clay pipes through shifted joints and keep growing. None of these happen overnight, which is why drains almost always give you warning signs before they block entirely. A few simple habits prevent the majority of callouts, and where the cause is a damaged pipe rather than what is going into it, a CCTV inspection will tell you for certain.

What we clear
A blockage is rarely where you think it is. Water backing up in one fixture often means the problem sits further down the line, which is why guessing and plunging usually buys you a few days rather than a fix. We locate the actual blockage first, then clear it properly.
Water rising in the bowl or draining slowly. Often wipes, sanitary items or a build-up further along the sewer line rather than anything in the pan itself.
Water pooling around your feet is almost always hair and soap residue binding together in the trap or waste pipe. Quick to clear once reached properly.
Fats, oils and food scraps cool and harden inside the pipe, narrowing it over months until it closes. Jetting removes the build-up rather than punching a hole through it.
Slow draining basins and tubs usually come down to hair, soap and lint collecting in the trap or the branch line behind the wall.
Several fixtures backing up at once, gurgling sounds or a smell outside means the main sewer line is affected. This one needs attention quickly.
Overflowing gutters, pooling water against the house or a downpipe that backs up in heavy rain. Left alone it ends up as water under the slab.

Our process
Anyone can force a temporary opening through a blockage. The question is whether the drain is actually clean and what caused the blockage in the first place. We clear the line, then show you on camera what we found.
We identify where the blockage actually sits before starting, rather than working blind and hoping we reach it.
Water jetting scours the full internal diameter of the pipe, removing fat, sludge and root matter instead of punching a narrow hole through it.
A drain camera shows the condition of the line on screen: cracks, root intrusion, sagging sections or collapsed pipe.
We show you the footage and explain plainly whether it is a one-off or something that will keep recurring, and what the options are.
Drainage work we do
If it keeps happening
A drain that blocks every few months is not bad luck, it is a damaged pipe. Across Fairfield, Cabramatta and the older parts of Liverpool, a great many homes still have original clay sewer pipes. The joints shift over time, tree roots find the moisture and work their way in, and every clear you pay for buys a few months before the roots grow back.
Once the camera shows what is going on, you have a real choice. Pipe relining seals a new lining inside the existing pipe without digging up the yard or driveway, and it stops roots re-entering at the damaged joint. For badly collapsed sections, excavation and replacement is sometimes the honest answer, and we will tell you if that is the case rather than selling you a lining that will not hold.
Book a CCTV Drain InspectionEarly warning signs
Drains almost always warn you before they block completely. Acting on these costs far less than an emergency callout and a cleanup.
A sink or shower taking longer to empty than it used to means the pipe is already partially restricted.
Noise from the drain or toilet when water runs elsewhere means air is being forced past a partial blockage.
A sewage or rotten smell from a drain or outside the house usually means waste is sitting in the line rather than flowing away.
Water rising higher or sitting lower than normal in the bowl points to a problem further along the sewer line.
No call-out fee during business hours, and a pensioner and seniors discount is available. We confirm pricing with you before any work starts.
